Summary:

A report on efforts to reform police departments. In Austin, TX the police department is being reexamined in an effort to better define the role of the police within communities. Includes interviews with Phillip Atiba Goff, a professor of African American studies and CEO of the Center for Policing Equity; Spencer Cronk, Austin City Manager; Anne Kringen and Commander Catherine Johnson, who run the Austin Police Academy; Chief Joseph Chacon, Austin police chief; and Ken Murphy, a Police Lieutenant who manages 911.
