Summary:
- Abstract: This report describes the activities of DoD personnel, both civilian and military, in Shots ANNIE, NANCY, RUTH, DIXIE, and RAY, the first five tests of the UPSHOT-KNOTHOLE atmospheric nuclear weapons test series. These tests were conducted from 17 March to 11 April 1953 and involved participants from Exercise Desert Rock V, AFSWP, AFSWC, AEC nuclear weapons design laboratories, and the Civil Effects Group. This volume also describes the radiological safety activities at each of these shots.
