Summary:
- Humans cannot survive for more than a few days without water. We are made of 70% water, and so is the entire planet. For these reasons, human identity is forever linked to water, both fresh and salt. The Badjao are a indigenous ethnic group living in maritime Southeast Asia. The name "Badjao" is a Malay-Bornean word that connotes "man of the seas" and that could not be a better representation of this little-known people. They live their lives entirely in the seas, with families gathering on houseboats that float out into the sea.
