- "Letters from Philip Stanhope to John Murray II and John Murray III, with related letters and papers. They concern works of his published by the Murrays, including "Essais sur la vie du grand Condé", the fourth volume of his "History of England", "Historical Essays, Contributed to the Quarterly Review", and advice on the travel handbook for Spain. There is also discussion of parliamentary matters, particularly the Copyright Bill, and of his reading, with comments on manuscripts sent to him for criticism. The letters are signed "Mahon", his title until March 1855."
