More Details
- Summary:
- Research shows that being harassed on the street is daily business for the majority of women. Hé Meisje (which is best translated into 'what's up, girl') shines light on this issue by portraying four young women from Amsterdam. While we follow them as they move through the city, we listen to their personal experiences with harassment and see how a young artist is dealing with these experiences through her art. Nikki also speaks to four men which she feels close to, in order to figure out how they relate to the topic. Set to the background of the progressive city of Amsterdam, Hé Meisje aims to open up a conversation on the normality of street harassment.
