Summary:
- Five composers, representing a variety of faith traditions, contributed to this composite Mass commissioned by Chanticleer in memory of Louis I. Botto, who founded the group in 1978. Each segment of the Mass memorializes an eminent San Francisco citizen: SF Chronicle columnist Herb Caen; SF Supervisor Harvey Milk; and philanthropists and civic leaders James H. Schwabacher, Jr., Alfred S. Wilsey, and Frances Cassidy.
