Summary:

In Matlab district, in south-eastern Bangladesh, the majority of mothers do not give birth in the hospital as it is too difficult for them to get there. Ruby was one of the lucky ones. Her baby was not breathing and was given oxygen immediately. She knows that he may not have survived had she given birth at home.
