Summary:
- Despite the publicity he generated, Nureyev rarely revealed anything of his private life and thoughts, but for this exclusive television biography, made just two years before his tragic death in 1993, he told his own story in his own words. Interviewed on his Mediterranean island, he looks back on his career, which is recalled in a dazzling array of archive clips. His sister, his first dance teacher, Ninette de Valois and Margot Fonteyn, among others, contribute their insights to this programme.
