Summary:

Jazz guitarist Talmage Holt Farlow embodied the unusual. The Greensboro, North Carolina native joined the New York City jazz scene in the late 1940s, where his highly innovative style and unique sense of harmony led to high acclaim. By 1958, the acclamations had become a question "What ever happened to Tal Farlow?" Following Thoreau, Farlow stepped away from the temptations of the jazz life, following his own musical drummer and struggling to find a balance between artistic excellence and peace of mind. This film explores the life of a remarkable artist who, if he eschewed fame, gained the respect and admiration of his fellow musicians and fans.
