"Liber bestiarum is a facsimile of manuscript Bodley 764 in the Bodleian Library, Oxford. The reprographics are by Dot Gradations, Wickford, Essex. The book has been printed and gold foiled by Windles of Thame, Oxon, on Furioso paper. This edition has been hand bound for members of the Folio Society by Brian Settle of Ludlow Bookbinders in full Nigerian [red] goatskin leather over bevelled boards, blocked with a design by David Eccles. The edition is limited to 1980 numbered copies and 20 lettered copies which are not for sale."--Vol. [2], colophon.
The facsimile is bound in red, richly decorated leatherette over boards; spine in five compartments, each with a stamped image of an animal. Pale green endleaves. The commentary and translation volume bound in navy-blue cloth over boards; gilt and green lettering; gilt-stamped decorations. In a navy-blue drop back box; title stamped on red label on spine.
