Its focus is on the rapidly rising Asia, and it investigates current changes and evaluates future directions in international politics in this dynamic region.
As Asia's economic prowess is being transferred onto the 21st century's diplomatic stage, questions arise: What does the rise of Asia, with China at its core, mean for the politics of the region? What are the implications for the global community? What are the prospects for regional integration and for further integration of the region into the international society of states? With Asian states rapidly transitioning from economic powerhouses to political heavyweights, what are the challenges for the international community and what are the opportunities for progress in international affairs?
