"Joyful Noise is part of a series on Psalm-singing in the Christian traditions of the United States today. The first film, Work and Pray: Living the Psalms with the Nuns of Regina Laudis, is a close study of the Benedictine nuns of an abbey located in Bethlehem, Connecticut. Joyful Noise revisits the convent of Regina Laudis and introduces the viewer to a number of other tri-state area congregations and secular choral communities who are deeply engaged with Psalmody."--Producer's introduction.
