- Summary:
- Fleeing war-torn China, a small planeload of people including Conway, a British diplomat, is hijacked to Tibet and taken to an idyllic valley in the Himalayas where time has virtually stopped. There Conway falls in love with a beautiful woman, and is asked to remain in Shangri-La as its new leader. But disbelieving its unearthly wonders, Conway escapes--only to struggle against overwhelming odds to find his Lost Horizon.
