Interview with J. C. Lay, an Army veteran (112th Cavalry, Texas National Guard), concerning his experiences in the Philippines during World War II. Enlistment in the Army, August 29, 1944; assignment to the 112th Cavalry, Antipolo, Philippines, May, 1945; jungle patrols; Japanese night infiltration attacks; setting up ambushes; postwar occupation duty in Japan; demolition of Japanese armaments; relations with Japanese civilians.
