- Interview with Mae Dell Shephard, a community activist and homemaker, about her experiences concerning the activities of the Denton Christian Women's Interracial Fellowship during the 1960s and 1970s. Shephard discusses her experiences growing up in a segregated society in East Texas, PTA activities, the desegregation of Denton public schools, race relations in Denton in the 1960s, her decision to join the Fellowship, the early social activities, community projects, Christian influence on the Fellowship's activities, the reaction of husbands to the Fellowship's activities, early Fellowship leaders, street paving in the African-American section of Denton, voter registration drives, recruiting members, the defeat of the urban renewal referendum, and the decline of the Fellowship.
