- Summary:
- In 2004 the state of Texas passed a bill banning junk food in its schools which ignited a firestorm of controversy. Amid the backdrop of the "Texas cupcake controversy" this documentary examines the processed food industry and the ways junk food and beverages are marketed to children. Eventually the state legislature rolled back the new policy in response to pressure from angry parents and money and lobbying of the food and beverage industries but some educators, parents and health advocates have vowed to maintain the fight against obesity and unhealthy food choices in schools.
