"This edition was limited to 513 copies. Copies numbered I-XIII each have an original wood engraving by Blake from Thornton's Virgil. These wood engravings (lacking four) had been cut from an original edition of the Virgil, and were pasted in an album given by A. Edward Newton to his daughter Caroline Newton. They were removed, restored and matted by Karen Zukor for this book."--T.p. verso.
