- Summary:
- Hilarious "behind-the-scenes" look at a fictitious TV comedy show. Rob Petrie (Dick Van Dyke) is the head comedy writer for the show, a popular variety series called "The Alan Brady Show." Working with Rob are Sally Rogers (Rose Marie) and Buddy Sorrell (Morey Amsterdam), both of whom are friends of Rob and his wife Laura (Mary Tyler Moore). Their antagonist at the office is the stuffy, pretentious producer of the show, Melvin Cooley (Richard Deacon) who is also the brother-in-law of the neurotic Alan Brady (Carl Reiner).
