- Summary:
- Nora is a woman who is sheltered first by her father and then by her husband. All her life she has been protected like a fragile possession-- like a doll in a doll's house. After she marries she becomes the "model wife" who commits forgery and risks destruction in order to save her husband. But after he rejects her, Nora leaves her husband and children to begin a new life and seek her own identity.
