Summary:

You may not know Rudy Love's name, even if you've heard his voice all your life. Love's story encapsulates a quintessential struggle of black artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. In the face of systemic racism and with the purest of intentions, Love repeatedly turned down fame to make music with his family.
